A welcoming post and some additional info
Hi, Asa Rosenfield here, and welcome to (one of) my blog(s) tracking my experience aboard the MV Explorer with Semester at Sea. I am a tenth grader traveling with my two younger brothers and my parents who are faculty/staff aboard the spring 2013 voyage of semester at sea. I have a tendency to drift from cult mentality to cult mentality (Whovian to Potter-lover to Crafter to Trekkie to Applehead and back) but I always stay unwavering in my enjoyment of books and reading as well as trying to find out everything there is to know about our mirror universe of 0s and 1s.
I thoroughly enjoy the nuances of many subjects, from literature to genetics and while aboard I hope to audit one or two courses. During my travels I am also going to keep two blogs. I may not be able to update them all the time, but I do hope to keep friends, family and everyone else I know or have known updated, interested, engaged, and intellectually stimulated.
I am keeping two blogs. This will most likely be the less updated one, but if you are looking for straightforward facts (as well as some opinions) this is the place to be. My primary blog is PG-13 and has some unreal elements to it, so this is also the better choice for younger children. I am about a week away from embarkation and will keep you posted as the big day approaches.
